Gateway

What is it?

For this project, students were placed into groups of four, in which they were assigned a restaurant and a country. They had to acquire the needed research to be able to move the given restaurant to that country. The research included the 4 P's: product, price, place, and promotion. Along with the 4 P's, additional research was needed to finalize how the restaurant would be successful in another country. Once all of the information was collected, students needed to present their project to judges. 

My Group

My group and I were tasked to move the restaurant, Mama's, to Colombia. We chose the location of the restaurant to be in Bogotá. After obtaining all of the necessary research, we presented what we found to the judges. We used the format of hook, body, and conclusion to show the judges why we were the best restaurant moving company for the job. My group won!

This was my first major group project. I have to admit that it was stressful and pushed me to my limits, but I am really glad I did it. Before doing this project, I never realized how much research and information was actually needed in order to move a restaurant. It was such an amazing feeling to be rewarded after months of hard work.
